As the St. Louis Rams’ Official Community Partner and Technology Solution Provider, we are proud to present the Rams Community Player of the Week series.
Each week during the 2015 season, the St. Louis Rams will select a player who has made a positive impact on the Greater St. Louis community. Here are the players who have been honored so far, and their inspirations for giving back:
Week 1: Greg Robinson, Offensive Tackle
A big kid at heart, Greg Robinson has supported St. Louis-area youth through charitable initiatives with the St. Louis Area Foodbank, Gene Slay’s Boys’ Club of Saint Louis, Marygrove, Kingdom House and more.
“It’s great just making time to interact with the kids,” Robinson told the Rams organization. “Anything that I do for the community is a great opportunity to give back. It’s a great feeling knowing how much the kids love it.”

Week 2: James Laurinaitis, Linebacker
James Laurinaitis has hosted Make-A-Wish Missouri’s annual Night of Wishes for six consecutive seasons. Since he’s been host, the Rams and Make-A-Wish have granted more than 150 wishes of children battling life-threatening diseases through the event.
“The Make-A-Wish Night of Wishes is one of my favorite things to do here,” Laurinaitis told the Rams organization. “Make-A-Wish is an awesome organization. I’ve been a part of it since college.”

Week 3: Cody Davis, Defensive Back
Cody Davis joined Rams Cheerleaders at the 2015 Susan G. Komen St. Louis Race for a Cure, posed for photos with fans, and handed out pink roses to breast cancer survivors as they crossed the finish line.
“It’s inspiring,” Davis told the Rams organization. “It’s really awesome to hand the roses out to survivors and see how long they have fought and just realize how truly blessed and thankful you are to be living this life.”

Alec Ogletree served as an honorary chairman for “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes,” hosted by YWCA Metro St. Louis, and was one of the 12 Rams players in attendance for the 2015 Make-A-Wish Missouri “Night of Wishes.”
“It was amazing to be there and see the support the YWCA had,” Ogletree said about the “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” event. “I definitely stand behind their mission 100 percent. I’m just glad I was there to show my support.”
