During the summer, Perficient colleagues often take the advantage of the chance to get outdoors and enjoy the season together.
Co-workers in our Southern California office did just that during a recent family picnic. The team decided to host the event this year for the second time in a row because it was so well-received last year.
The picnic took place at Orange County’s Irvine Regional Park, known for its rolling foothills and heritage Oak and Sycamore trees. The park features a zoo, train rides, paddle boats, biking and hiking trails. Colleagues had plenty of activities set up as well, including volleyball and a bounce house for kids.
A barbecue featured ribs, hamburgers, hot dogs, kabob skewers, and plenty of snacks and refreshments.
Colleagues played five rounds of bingo, with each winner receiving a $10 Starbucks gift card. A raffle drawing brought forth the biggest prizes, including a 32″ HDTV and a portable DVD player.
But the best part of the event, colleagues say, was the chance to socialize outside of the workplace. That was especially true for the traveling consultants.
“It’s nice to spend quality time away from the office and get to know our colleagues’ families and pets,” said Robert Lee, a lead business consultant. “We all had fun.”
