Perficient colleagues are actively involved in supporting the communities in which they live and work. The team in the San Francisco office, for instance, often joins together to back philanthropic initiatives that are near and dear to each other, and in just the past couple months, they have volunteered at two notable organizations in their region.

In December, co-workers spent an evening at the Contra Costa and Solano County Food Bank helping to prepare for the holiday season. The food bank serves about 188,000 people in need every month and distributed more than 20 million pounds of food, enough for more than 16 million meals, last year.
Nine San Francisco colleagues also recently cooked and served breakfast for about 30 people at Saint Boniface Church through The Gubbio Project, which seeks to create a safe place for the homeless who find refuge in the church.
“We like to give back to the community in any way we can, and this was a way to cook and share a meal with those who have no place to go,” said Maria Orozco, Senior Business Consultant.
One of the most memorable interactions: The team was serving a gentleman, and he told them, “This food is extra delicious. You know why? Because it was made with love.”

“The experience was very humbling and rewarding,” Maria said. “It was a time for us to reflect within ourselves. It was also really nice to be able to work with other colleagues outside of work to do good for our community.”
