Success at Perficient is powered by our people who shatter boundaries and make the impossible happen. Our global culture is rooted in a shared sense of purpose and a commitment to physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Work-life balance and self-care aren’t just personal goals—they’re part of Perficient’s culture. Whether it’s setting boundaries, staying active, or prioritizing mental health, our colleagues embrace wellness as part of their routine.

In celebration of International Self-Care Day, we launched a four-part blog series featuring advice from Perficient colleagues. The first blog explores how colleagues navigate the early stages of their careers with intention and authentic connection. The second installment dives deeper into personal well-being, sharing how our team prioritizes balance and self-compassion. Learn how our colleagues practice self-care by watching the video below.

Building Healthy Work Habits and Supporting Balance

Some mornings begin with a quiet moment—coffee in hand, journaling, an energizing walk, or sitting in peaceful silence. Others start with a productivity kick with back-to-back meetings and a cluttered to-do list. While daily routines can vary, striving for balance is essential to being present, productive, and fulfilled.

Perficient’s Romania office Club Transilvania tennis match.

Making time for restoration helps each person show up with clarity and renewed purpose. Small, intentional lifestyle choices can mean anything from setting healthy boundaries, disconnecting after hours, and learning something new.

I’m passionate about learning and education, and I will often watch educational videos, read, or take online classes. I also do volunteer work, which intersects with a lot of my passions: learning about others’ experiences, growing empathy, as well as building community. Another thing I do just for fun is play board games. I like board games because they flex your mind and build community. Jeff Molsen, Senior Technical Architect, Adobe

For many colleagues, the most rewarding moments happen outside the office: parents cheering on their kids, volunteering, or participating in a fitness class. It’s not about squeezing more into the day but being deliberate with energy and attention.

My sons play multiple sports, and my husband dedicates his time to serving on the board of a community youth sports organization and coaching our boys’ football teams. I love watching them play, be part of a team, thrive in school, and actively participate in our community. I make it a priority to never miss my kids’ sporting or school events. Being there for them is critical to achieving and feeling that work-life balance.” Erin Zapata, Director, Microsoft

Leading by Example: How Leaders Shape Intentional Work-Life Balance

A thriving workplace begins with leaders who understand that well-being fuels performance. When managers prioritize both professional growth and personal fulfillment, they create a culture where all colleagues feel empowered.

“One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is fostering an environment where my team members can thrive. I am committed to ensuring that they are engaged in meaningful and enjoyable work, feel valued for their contributions, and receive the support they need to succeed. Their well-being and professional satisfaction are paramount, and I am dedicated to being their advocate.” — Erin Zapata, Director, Microsoft

Effective leaders tailor support to meet the diverse needs of their teams, setting a tone of trust and respect. They also recognize that feeling valued is essential to sustaining a sense of belonging. One of the ways Perficient leaders and colleagues alike can reinforce this is through the Perficient Shoutouts program, which honors professional achievements and individuals who are making a difference. A live intranet feed highlights colleagues around the globe, reinforcing a culture where appreciation is visible, frequent, and meaningful.

“I am grateful to work at a company that prioritizes work-life balance and fosters a culture of appreciation for colleague contributions. The ability to maintain a healthy equilibrium between work and personal life is extremely important to me.”— Stephanie Sterling, Business Operations Manager, Healthcare

Empathetic leadership goes beyond task lists–it means checking in, recognizing contributions, and championing wellness. By leading with intention and balance, leaders build sustainable, high-performing teams.

Strong Body, Clear Mind: How Fitness and Self-Care Improve Focus

Colleagues in Monterrey unwind with a Mario Kart Tournament

Not only does self-care include rest, but it also involves movement and energy. Whether it’s participating in CrossFit, recreational sports, yoga, or a drive to unwind, these routines help us stay grounded and focused.

Romina Neves, senior business consultant, Uruguay, finds strength and confidence through pushing herself in weightlifting. “Practicing CrossFit and Martial Arts has deeply shaped my leadership style, helping me stay focused under pressure, lead with example and discipline, and foster collaboration through respect. I value working at Perficient because it allows me to maintain a healthy balance between personal and professional life, reminding me that well-being and performance go hand in hand.”

Physical activity sharpens the mind, reduces stress, improves sleep, and enhances focus. It’s a way to recharge and return to work with renewed energy and unique perspective. Joe Tufo, lead technical consultant, Sitecore, shares how sports have helped him stay connected to his family and build lifelong friendships. “I coach both of my sons in baseball. I still play in two amateur baseball leagues, plus I play recreational basketball. Sports have always been a big part of my life, and I’ve met some of my best friends through playing sports. It’s a great way to stay connected, stay active, and share something with my family.

These moments, whether cheering from the sidelines or spending time together, create a sense of purpose that extends beyond the workplace. It’s important to explore different activities and use physical wellness as a tool to manage stress and boost productivity.

“I really enjoy driving and exploring new places, especially small towns. For me, driving represents freedom and gives me a moment to disconnect. One of my best experiences was driving from Mexico City to Cancún, where I truly felt that freedom.”  Juan Cardona, Technical Consultant, Colombia

Supporting Health, Balance, and Belonging Around the World

In 2024, Perficient earned three Top Workplaces Culture Excellence Awards, recognizing our focus on well-being, leadership, and purpose-driven work. These honors underscore that personal wellness and a commitment to excellence build a stronger community. Whether you’re just starting your journey at Perficient or expanding your commitment to well-being, our LiveWell Employee Resource Group (ERG) supports colleagues at every stage of their wellness journey.

Colleagues in Perficient’s Chennai office relax through yoga.

An example of that is the LiveWell ERG’s Global Wellness Challenge, which united colleagues worldwide around movement, mindful practices, and healthy habits. From fostering community, accountability, and shared growth, these activities help us show up as our best selves at work.

Wellness looks different for each person, and our global colleagues take unique approaches to embracing a healthy work-life balance. In June, our Nagpur and Pune offices celebrated International Yoga Day with a workplace yoga session that promoted mindfulness. Organized by Perficient’s India Women in Technology ERG, the event featured calming music, guided stretches, and a refreshing reset that inspired connection. Yoga is a powerful practice that supports both physical and mental well-being, and these moments enabled colleagues to remain grounded, build resilience, and return to work with renewed focus.

As an intern, this was my first time participating in an International Yoga Day celebration at the office, and it was truly refreshing! It reminded me how important it is to move around and include simple exercises in our daily routine – especially during long workdays.” Punyaa Dixit, Consulting Intern, Nagpur

Building Together: PRFT Colleagues Volunteer with Atlanta Habitat for Humanity https://blogs.perficient.com/2025/06/27/building-together-prft-colleagues-volunteer-with-atlanta-habitat-for-humanity/ https://blogs.perficient.com/2025/06/27/building-together-prft-colleagues-volunteer-with-atlanta-habitat-for-humanity/#respond Fri, 27 Jun 2025 15:58:02 +0000 https://blogs.perficient.com/?p=383565

On May 31, the Atlanta Perficient team had the opportunity to participate in an Atlanta Habitat for Humanity build—and not just any build, but a Pride Build, kicking off June’s Pride Month with purpose.

Ron Jones, Ben Phillips & Theo Fountain

About Atlanta Habitat for Humanity

Atlanta Habitat for Humanity brings together families, communities, and volunteers to help more people access safe, affordable housing. Their work goes beyond construction—it includes advocacy for policy changes that remove systemic barriers preventing low-income and historically underserved communities from achieving housing stability.

The Pride Build specifically highlights and supports LGBTQ+ homeowners, volunteers, and allies, celebrating inclusivity while shedding light on the challenges LGBTQ+ individuals continue to face in accessing homeownership due to longstanding discrimination and inequality.

What We Did

During Saturday’s build, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work on two homes in the Atlanta area.

Some of us spent the morning inside, painting interior walls with a fresh coat of color. It was exciting to see the house start to feel like a home!

Others took on outdoor tasks, including installing soffit and fascia, measuring and cutting materials, and handling tools most of us don’t use in our day jobs. Ben and Theo were especially excited to take on the ladder work, helping secure trim and making sure everything was lined up just right.

By the end of the day, we’d made real progress on both homes—completing all the interior and exterior painting, installing doors, and nearly completing the soffit and fascia. It was rewarding to see how much we could accomplish together in just one day, knowing it brought these future homeowners one step closer to move-in day.

Why It Matters

The work wasn’t easy, but hearing directly from the future homeowners reminded us exactly why it was all worth it. Two of them shared what this opportunity means to them:

“This house will represent not just a personal achievement but a milestone in building long-term security for my family. Beyond just a place to live, it will be a foundation for creating generational wealth.”

“The most exciting aspect of being a homeowner is I achieved a goal I didn’t think was possible—but now I’ll have something to leave to my children in the future.”

We’re proud to have played a part in helping these families take that next step forward.

Perficient Giving

It was really meaningful to step away from our day-to-day work to come together for a cause bigger than ourselves. At Perficient, opportunities like this through our Giving Employee Resource Group are a reminder of the values we share and the impact we can have when we show up for others. We look forward to more moments of giving back, together!

Perficient Wins EX Impact Award for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging https://blogs.perficient.com/2025/04/16/perficient-wins-ex-impact-award-for-diversity-equity-inclusion-and-belonging/ https://blogs.perficient.com/2025/04/16/perficient-wins-ex-impact-award-for-diversity-equity-inclusion-and-belonging/#respond Wed, 16 Apr 2025 15:59:18 +0000 https://blogs.perficient.com/?p=380045

With more than 7,000 colleagues spanning technologies and time zones, Perficient constantly pursues progress centered around Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB). The feedback our colleagues share through Perficient’s annual Employee Engagement Survey provides insight into the colleague experience that helps us continue to build an award-winning culture where everyone can thrive. Perficient partners with Perceptyx, an independent analytics firm, to facilitate the survey and ensure actionable, transparent insights.

Each year, Perceptyx hosts the EX Impact Awards to honor organizations that leverage its platform to uncover critical insights, take meaningful action, and elevate the colleague experience. We’re thrilled to announce that Perficient was recently recognized with a 2025 EX Impact Award in the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) category.

Our recognition underscores Perficient’s success in transforming feedback into impactful initiatives that resonate across its global workforce, and our dedication to fostering a workplace where every colleague feels heard, valued, and supported.

To celebrate this incredible achievement, Perceptyx hosted a virtual panel discussion on Tuesday, April 15, featuring representatives from global companies who received a 2025 EX Impact Award. Our colleague, Felipe Garzon Correa, talent development specialist, Colombia, participated as a panel member, sharing how Perficient uncovered key insights and accelerated growth for our colleagues through our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).

“Our ERGs reflect the incredible sense of belonging of our global Perficient family, but at their core, it’s all about our people, people who are making a difference in their communities and across borders every day,” said Felipe Garzon Correa, Talent Development Specialist, Colombia. “Together, we’re not just a company; we’re a worldwide network united by impact, driven by outcomes, and committed to shaping a brighter future for everyone.”

Perficient Receives Corporate Champion Award from Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Gateway Chapter https://blogs.perficient.com/2025/02/27/perficient-receives-corporate-champion-award-from-cystic-fibrosis-foundations-gateway-chapter/ https://blogs.perficient.com/2025/02/27/perficient-receives-corporate-champion-award-from-cystic-fibrosis-foundations-gateway-chapter/#respond Thu, 27 Feb 2025 21:56:43 +0000 https://blogs.perficient.com/?p=377901

Perficient and our colleagues are guided by a shared sense of purpose and vision to boldly advance business, and we’re equally passionate about making a difference in the communities we serve. For more than 16 years, Perficient has partnered with the Gateway Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF), supporting the organization’s mission to find a cure for cystic fibrosis and improve the quality of life for those affected by the disease.

We’re proud to share that Perficient was recently recognized by the CFF Gateway Chapter with its 2024 Corporate Champion Award—which is an incredible achievement! This recognition is a testament to our support of the organization’s Gateway Chapter in St. Louis, and the generosity of our colleagues.

Announced annually, the CFF Gateway Chapter’s Corporate Champion Award recognizes corporations for their support through sponsorship, involvement, and dynamic employee and customer engagement. Perficient has proudly supported the CFF Gateway Chapter for more than 16 years, contributing over $180,000 towards the chapter’s mission and events.

Perficient’s recognition was celebrated alongside other annual award recipients at the Gateway Chapter’s annual meeting on Wednesday, February 26.

“It’s a pleasure to accept this award on behalf of Perficient,” said Bill Davis, Senior Vice President at Perficient and board member of the CFF Gateway Chapter. “At Perficient, we direct our time and energy to two causes—advancing STEM education and improving health and well-being—the latter being directly aligned to the incredible work the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is doing. We talk a lot about looking for ways to make a difference, so we direct a lot of our energy, time, and dollars to causes where we can see real tangible impact being made. This is a cause where we’re seeing tremendous progress, so it’s our pleasure to continue to support the Foundation and their mission.”

In addition to the awards ceremony, the annual meeting attendees learned more about the CFF Gateway Chapter’s efforts to find a cure for cystic fibrosis and support people with cystic fibrosis to live long, fulfilling lives. The event also featured a presentation from Dr. JP Clancy, CFF VP of Clinical Research, about the latest medical and scientific advancements to treat cystic fibrosis.

Understanding Cystic Fibrosis

According to the CFF, cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. Cystic fibrosis causes thick mucus to build up in the lungs, digestive tract, and other areas of the body, leading to severe respiratory and digestive problems. Over time, the disease limits the ability to breathe properly. With an estimated 105,000 people diagnosed with cystic fibrosis across 94 countries, the impact of the disease is monumental.

Through scientific research and clinical trials, scientists can understand more about the Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regulator (CFTR) protein, which maintains a balance between the body’s salt and water distribution. When the protein is not properly functioning, the chloride found in salt can build up in the lungs and cause cystic fibrosis symptoms. While there have been instrumental advancements in cystic fibrosis treatment, and progress to understand the CFTR protein, doctors are continuing extensive research to find a cure.

Cystic fibrosis also has a large impact on the families and loved ones of those who have the disease. Carrier or genetic testing plays a significant role in providing a diagnosis, but it also enables parents to make essential and informed decisions by understanding their chances of having a child with cystic fibrosis. The CFF provides vital support through research, advocacy, and care initiatives, striving towards a future free from cystic fibrosis.

Championing Change: Perficient Proudly Supports the Libations for a Cure Event

For the last several years, Perficient has supported the CFF as a premier sponsor for Libations for a Cure, an event benefiting the Foundation’s Gateway Chapter. During the event, guests enjoy local cuisine and beverages while fundraising to support research for a cure for cystic fibrosis.

The event brings individuals, families, and businesses together to make a difference. Our colleagues understand the importance and profound impact that supporting local initiatives can have, and they have enjoyed attending the annual event. This year’s Libations for a Cure event will take place on Saturday, March 29, and we look forward to returning as the premier sponsor for another fun evening of laughter, entertainment, and fundraising.

Cultivating a Culture of Giving: Our Colleagues Are Making a Difference

Perficient’s support and dedication to giving back extends far beyond monetary donations. Our commitment to philanthropy is deeply ingrained in our company culture and Perficient’s two key philanthropic pillars: advancing STEM education and improving health and well-being. From volunteering in-person to participating in fundraising initiatives, our people are actively engaged in supporting the CFF’s mission and making the world a better place.

We understand that even small acts of kindness can make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by cystic fibrosis. By providing opportunities to give back, we’re helping build strong communities around the world while inspiring others to pay it forward.

Down Syndrome Diagnosis Network to Receive $5,000 Through Perficient Gives Global Grants Program https://blogs.perficient.com/2025/01/30/down-syndrome-diagnosis-network-to-receive-5000-through-perficient-gives-global-grants-program/ https://blogs.perficient.com/2025/01/30/down-syndrome-diagnosis-network-to-receive-5000-through-perficient-gives-global-grants-program/#respond Thu, 30 Jan 2025 16:09:49 +0000 https://blogs.perficient.com/?p=376415

Our colleagues at Perficient are generous, kind, and take pride in paying it forward through a passion for philanthropy. In 2024, Perficient’s Giving Employee Resource Group (ERG) launched the Perficient Gives Global Grants Program, a unique opportunity to support global nonprofit organizations in their mission to make a significant impact in our communities. Through this program, colleagues from across Perficient’s global offices can nominate their favorite charitable organizations to receive a one-time $5,000 donation from Perficient.

To qualify, the organizations must align with Perficient’s corporate giving pillars: advancing STEM education and improving health and well-being. Hundreds of colleagues from around the world have nominated their favorite charities, showcasing a diverse range of inspiring organizations and enabling everyone to champion causes close to their hearts. Last year, we recognized Charity: Water, the Jessie Rees Foundation, the Foundation for Excellence, the Marina Orth Foundation, and the Last Mile Education Fund as the first five charities to receive a donation from Perficient.

Now, we’re proud to share that the Down Syndrome Diagnosis Network (DSDN) is the first of five global organizations selected to receive a $5,000 donation following our second round of nominations. DSDN was nominated by Katie Burwell, a senior talent acquisition specialist based out of our Dallas office who has a personal connection to the organization. Continue reading to learn more about DSDN, Katie’s story, and how her team rallied in support of her cause.

Shining a Light on Down Syndrome and The Down Syndrome Diagnosis Network (DSDN)

As the largest national organization supporting new and expectant parents with a Down syndrome diagnosis, DSDN’s mission is to connect, support, and provide accurate information to parents and medical professionals from the time of diagnosis through the age of three, while fostering lifelong connections. What began as a small, private online group for moms has developed into an organization focused on improving diagnosis support for parents and families.

Since launching in early 2014, DSDN provides connections to parents of a child with Down syndrome—ultimately changing the narrative around the condition from one of uncertainty to hope and inclusion. To date, the organization has 22,832 group members, 43 pregnancy and birth groups, 28 medical condition groups, and 31 parent and family identity groups. Through advocacy, medical outreach, grants, and networking efforts, DSDN aims to ensure that all families are supported, empowered, and feel that they have a strong community.

Watch the video below to learn more about DSDN:

Receiving an at-birth diagnosis of Down syndrome can be challenging, especially with options that are often distressing for new parents. Katie’s journey with DSDN began with the at-birth Down syndrome diagnosis of her daughter, Tatum, who is now two years old. Recognizing the need for a network of people going through similar experiences, she found solace and strength in DSDN’s resources.

Building Bridges and Community Through a Supportive Family Network

Through moderated Facebook groups, Katie built strong relationships with other parents and created an open environment for conversation. She regularly connects with a group of moms that she has met through DSDN to discuss challenges, share triumphs, offer advice, and be a resource for one another. Beyond online support platforms, DSDN offers a wealth of resources, including advocacy, medical outreach, grants, welcome gifts, and memorials.

The organization’s efforts extend to providing a safe space for parents to connect, which led to the creation of their own app, a secure platform for communication. Katie and her family have benefited immensely from DSDN’s support and community. DSDN is more than a helpful resource for her family; it has been a lifeline of connection. The guidance provided by other parents is invaluable to Katie and enables her to give Tatum the best possible care from therapy to medical advice.

“Having those resources and expertise from other women created a community that can easily relay that information to the newer moms. I nominated DSDN because the organization has made a profound impact on my family. We needed a network of people, either local or national, that were walking through the same journey that we were. DSDN’s work was instrumental in making us feel like we were not alone.”

Changing the Narrative Through Volunteerism and Giving Back

For the last two years, Katie has been involved with the organization through volunteering with their grants writing team, re-launching their LinkedIn presence, attending retreats, and engaging in peer-to-peer fundraising. DSDN is a shining beacon of hope for families with children who have Down syndrome, and Katie’s creative fundraising efforts are effective in inspiring generosity and goodwill amongst her colleagues, friends, and network. From spirit nights at local restaurants to raffling a custom-painted champagne bottle, she has found innovative ways to raise funds in support of the organization. So far, Katie has personally raised $10,000 for DSDN in addition to the $5,000 donation from Perficient.

Additionally, Katie organized team-building events and fundraisers within Perficient, including World Down Syndrome Day activities. In support of the awareness day, Katie spearheaded several initiatives in our Dallas office to educate Perficient colleagues about Down syndrome. She organized the Dallas team’s efforts by bringing in posters, balloons, cookies, and information about Down syndrome, Tatum, and DSDN.

“World Down Syndrome Day is March 21, and it’s kind of like a big holiday,” said Katie. “I think of it as a second birthday for Tatum because it’s just a great way to create awareness and advocacy for Down syndrome.”

Katie also coordinated an effort through Pal Socks, a company specializing in mis-matched socks, to help with fundraising and creating opportunities for conversations about Down syndrome. By encouraging her family, friends, peers, and network to purchase mismatched socks, Katie fostered deeper connections and inspired others to share their own experiences. For this year’s World Down Syndrome Day, Katie recently reached her goal of providing 755 pairs of socks to students and teachers at Argyle West Elementary School. Each pair celebrates how our differences make us unique and represents a step towards awareness, with a portion of each donation going back to DSDN.

Spreading Hope with Community Involvement

Katie’s dedication to DSDN and her efforts in fundraising and advocacy have also inspired others to learn more. Her involvement in DSDN’s retreats has allowed her to connect with other moms from across the United States, forming lasting friendships and a robust support network. Through her contributions, Katie has brought joy, light, and purpose to her community while advocating for an inclusive environment for people of all abilities. Her story is a testament to the power of community, advocacy, and the profound impact that organizations like DSDN can have on families.

As an advocate for DSDN, Katie’s work highlights the importance of changing the narrative around Down syndrome. Historically, individuals with Down syndrome are treated differently for how they were born, with many stereotypes and stigmas still existing around the world. DSDN continues to advocate for awareness and inclusion, ensuring that children like Tatum can thrive in a supportive environment. Her story is a powerful reminder of the importance of advocacy, support, and community.

DSDN was also nominated by Irina Wenderoth, manager, Talent Acquisition, who rallied in support of Katie’s personal passion for the organization. Irina shared, “I have been working with Katie for four years now, and she has always been open about her story of Tatum having Down syndrome and how they are helping Tatum with her communication and therapy. Being aware and educating others in your community is important.”

Perficient is Improving the Health and Well-Being of Our Global Communities

We’re committed to making a difference in our global communities, and that is exemplified by supporting organizations like DSDN that build inclusive environments and provide essential resources for families like Katie’s.

“Perficient is making a difference, and I don’t know of many other companies that take this approach,” said Katie. “I think it’s phenomenal and I’m filled with so much gratitude. This just further solidifies why I love working at Perficient.”

With Katie and Irina’s nominations, and volunteer efforts led by our Dallas office, Perficient’s contribution through the Perficient Gives Global Grants Program will significantly enhance DSDN’s ability to offer critical resources and support to families around the world with a Down syndrome diagnosis. This funding will contribute to maintaining the organization’s secure app for parent communication, expanding advocacy programs, and continuing to provide essential medical outreach, connection, and support services for those in need.

DSDN is a non-profit organization that relies heavily on peer-to-peer fundraising, and Perficient’s support will provide crucial funding for the organization’s mission. We look forward to continuing our support for organizations that make a profound difference in the lives of those they serve.  Stay tuned for future announcements about the Perficient Gives Global Grants Program and the charitable organizations we support!

Perficient Hosts Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamps to Inspire Future STEM Leaders https://blogs.perficient.com/2024/12/09/perficient-hosts-mark-cuban-foundation-ai-bootcamps-to-inspire-future-stem-leaders/ https://blogs.perficient.com/2024/12/09/perficient-hosts-mark-cuban-foundation-ai-bootcamps-to-inspire-future-stem-leaders/#respond Mon, 09 Dec 2024 20:39:48 +0000 https://blogs.perficient.com/?p=373187

For the fourth consecutive year, Perficient has partnered with the Mark Cuban Foundation to offer free AI Bootcamps to underserved high school students across the United States. Held over the first three Saturdays of November, this initiative works to inspire the next generation of leaders in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, providing them with hands-on training and experience to succeed in the ever-evolving tech landscape.

Expanding Reach to Seven U.S. Cities

This year, we proudly expanded our partnership with the Mark Cuban Foundation by hosting AI Bootcamps in seven cities: Dallas, Houston, Detroit, St. Louis, Atlanta, Minneapolis, and Fargo, North Dakota. The impact of this program has continued to grow each year, with more students seeking to participate in this hands-on exploration of AI tools and applications. More than 260 high school students applied to participate in a Perficient AI Bootcamp this year.

Participating students explored a broad range of AI concepts, including the ethical implications of AI systems. They examined concerns about fairness, transparency, privacy, and accountability in AI technologies, as well as the societal impacts of AI, such as biases in algorithms and potential consequences on employment and personal freedoms. This exploration gave students a deeper understanding of the need for responsible AI development and thoughtful consideration of its societal effects. One unique part of the curriculum was the ability for students to choose from specialized AI learning tracks such as healthcare, business development, and sports science, which allowed them to explore AI within areas of their own personal interest. As the program concluded, students used their newfound skills and worked in groups to present AI-based solutions to real-world challenges.

Empowering Students Through Mentorship

Throughout the AI Bootcamps, Perficient employees played a crucial role in helping students navigate both the technical and collaborative aspects of AI. More than 100 Perficient colleagues volunteered to be mentors at this year’s AI Bootcamps and guided students through the learning process. These mentors drew on their professional experiences to provide valuable insights into how AI is applied in real-world settings, helping students understand the practical uses of AI technology.

Along with providing technical expertise, mentors helped develop key soft skills to help students build camaraderie within their small groups. Working together on complex AI projects can be challenging, and Perficient mentors facilitated collaboration by encouraging teamwork and effective communication. They emphasized the importance of problem-solving, sharing ideas, and learning from one another to foster a cooperative environment.

Mentors and Volunteers Reflect on Their AI Bootcamp Experiences

We reached out to a few of our colleagues to hear about their experiences from this year’s bootcamps. Check out the valuable insights shared by our mentors and volunteers across the company!

Houston is so proud to be a 3rd-time host for the Mark Cuban AI boot camp. We continue to be blown away by how quickly these young people are at absorbing and adopting cutting-edge technology concepts. I always love witnessing their fast-paced collaboration and the creative and impressive capstone projects that emerge on the final day! It’s been a fun ride – I’m looking forward to next year!
Renu Hall, Director – Houston

The AI bootcamp in Fargo was an amazing experience. We loved seeing participants grow from curious newcomers to confident creators. It’s exciting to see the next generation of innovators right here in our community!
Katie Wilson, Technical Architect – Fargo

The kids in our Atlanta bootcamp were just incredible. We were blown away by how quickly they grasped fundamental AI concepts and then rocketed through the practical exercises. In addition to sheer smarts, the kids showed such maturity in working collaboratively in teams on their own AI-centered solution pitches. I’m confident I can speak for the whole mentor crew in saying how grateful we are to have been able to spend time with such a smart and creative group of kids.
Lisa Hunter, Director – Atlanta

Perficient’s Minneapolis office turned up the fun dial, hosting a Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp that brought a dozen bright young minds together for an unforgettable AI adventure! Picture this: mountains of gummy bears, endless slices of pizza, and a whirlwind of learning that expanded students’ understanding of artificial intelligence. Professionals from a variety of fields journeyed from places as far-flung as Eau Claire (and beyond!) to team up over three consecutive Saturdays. Together, they planned, mentored, and inspired the next generation of AI trailblazers across the Twin Cities region. It was a feast of innovation, teamwork, and—of course—candy-fueled creativity!

Perficient has a long-standing reputation as a philanthropic organization with colleagues who are driven and passionate about making a collective difference. In the spirit of giving back, our Giving Employee Resource Group (ERG) partnered with Feeding America for the third year in a row in support of Hunger Action Month (HAM), a global campaign that seeks to spread awareness and fight food insecurity.

Taking place in September, Perficient colleagues are encouraged to join the fight against food insecurity by hosting volunteer events, spreading awareness, and bringing non-perishable food items to their local office. These items are then donated to area food banks to support those without access to healthy food.

Celebrating Perficient’s 2024 HAM Champions: Dallas and Nagpur Offices

As part of HAM, colleagues across Perficient’s global offices participated in a friendly competition with a challenge to make a difference. All locations that donated at least 100 pounds of food, hosted a volunteer event, and submitted an impact story during September qualified as finalists.

Through our collective efforts, Perficient and our colleagues donated more than 11,000 pounds of food and 46,000 meals to fight food insecurity worldwide. We’re proud to share that our Dallas and Nagpur offices are our 2024 HAM competition winners and will be added to our newly minted trophy!

Colleagues in Dallas partnered with the North Texas Food Bank to launch the office’s first-ever Peanut Butter Drive and collectively collected 909 jars of peanut butter – which equates to 909 pounds of food! Colleagues brought in jars of peanut butter into their local office, while also organizing a virtual campaign by creating a donation page and sharing information through email and social media. Additionally, colleagues volunteered with Feed My Starving Children to pack bags with essential vitamins, vegetables, soy, and rice to send to Honduras.

Our Nagpur office is a two-time HAM champion, with colleagues in both our Nagpur and Pune offices distributing 150 grocery boxes, which is nearly 4,630 pounds, across impoverished areas through a collaborative effort with Robin Hood Academy. Colleagues spent time packing and carrying boxes full of items such as wheat and rice to help those in need. This effort positively impacted the lives of more than 150 families in India, while bringing a sense of pride and reaffirmed commitment to our colleagues.

While each office showed true determination, both offices exceeded expectations through their creativity and teamwork to make a difference. These offices join previous HAM Champions Atlanta, Nagpur, Minneapolis, and Lafayette, Louisiana, as the top contributors to our HAM campaign.

Our Global Colleagues Give Back

The competition for the 2024 HAM Challenge was stiff, with several of Perficient’s global offices vying for the title of HAM Champions. While our Dallas and Nagpur offices reigned supreme, every office’s effort to support HAM is fighting global food insecurity. Check out the many ways our global colleagues fought food insecurity by volunteering and giving back to those in need.

Jessie Rees Foundation and The Foundation for Excellence Both Receive $5,000 Perficient Global Grant https://blogs.perficient.com/2024/07/18/jessie-rees-foundation-and-the-foundation-for-excellence-receive-5000-perficient-global-grant/ https://blogs.perficient.com/2024/07/18/jessie-rees-foundation-and-the-foundation-for-excellence-receive-5000-perficient-global-grant/#respond Thu, 18 Jul 2024 14:35:03 +0000 https://blogs.perficient.com/?p=366066

Perficient’s Giving Employee Resource Group (ERG) recently introduced the Perficient Gives Global Grants Program, which gives colleagues the opportunity to nominate charitable organizations from around the world to receive a $5,000 donation from Perficient. After carefully evaluating each nomination, Perficient’s Giving ERG leadership team selected the first five organizations to receive a donation. Last month, we announced Charity: Water as the first organization to receive a Perficient Global Grant.

Today, we’re thrilled to announce the next two organizations receiving a $5,000 donation from Perficient: the Jessie Rees Foundation, nominated by Tara Vondran, Senior Project Manager, Southern California, and the Foundation for Excellence, nominated by Rajesh Ranga Rao, Technical Architect, Chennai.

Spreading Joy to Children Fighting Cancer with the Jessie Rees Foundation

The Jessie Rees Foundation believes that every child fighting cancer deserves joy, the opportunity to smile, and the encouragement to Never Ever Give Up (NEGU).

Founded by Jessie Rees, a 12-year-old girl who courageously fought cancer, Jessie’s family continues her mission to share hope by sending motivational and cheerful gifts, including JoyJars, to kids battling cancer.

Watch the video to understand Jessie’s journey, and what inspired her drive to help other kids continue fighting.

Tara nominated the Jessie Rees Foundation because the organization and its mission are particularly impactful to her family. In 2019, Tara’s niece received a diagnosis of Leukemia. While the road to recovery was challenging, Jessie’s story was influential in inspiring her to never give up. Tara’s niece is now in remission, and Tara hopes to continue spreading joy to children in the hospital for many years.

Tara first learned about the Jessie Rees Foundation nine years ago and has volunteered her time by stuffing JoyJars with toys, cards, beanies, and socks. She has even coordinated a volunteer event where Perficient colleagues created “Care Cards” full of hope and words of affirmation to help spread a touch of happiness to those who need it most.

“There’s so much that a kid goes through with cancer, and the Jessie Rees Foundation makes a difference,” said Tara. “Knowing the kids have a support system means the world, and receiving toys and care cards inspire them to never give up and continue the fight.”

Each year, more than 400,000 children receive a cancer diagnosis. As of January 2024, the organization has sent more than 475,000 JoyJars to kids fighting cancer all over the world. Thanks to Tara’s nomination, Perficient’s donation will empower children with cancer to be courageous and understand that they are not alone.

Education is a cornerstone of India’s society. Unfortunately, not everyone has access to the resources or financial support needed to achieve higher education. Through Rajesh’s nomination, we’re helping connect students with the tools they need to be successful.

“The Foundation for Excellence plays a pivotal role in offering scholarships to college students requiring financial assistance, thereby creating a difference by transforming the lives of students to pursue and achieve their dreams,” said Rajesh.

Rajesh has been involved with the Foundation for Excellence since 1998 when he received a scholarship from the organization to assist with his continued education and career growth. As someone who has personally benefitted from the work the Foundation for Excellence provides, Rajesh understands the importance of the organization’s mission on a deeper level. Inspired by that mission, Rajesh continues to pay it forward by making his own donations to the Foundation for Excellence to help others who aspire to further their professional skillset.

For 29 years, the Foundation for Excellence has awarded more than 95,000 scholarships to students living in impoverished regions of India. Since 2022, the organization has supported more than 13,579 students pursuing education, with 4,851 people being first-time scholars. Thanks to Rajesh’s recommendation, Perficient and the Giving ERG will continue to help enable and advance STEM education across India.

Perficient’s Giving ERG was established in 2021, as a way for employees to bond over philanthropy and inspire generosity. Shortly after, in September 2022, a group of liaisons was formed in Atlanta so we could start to give back to our local community in person. Since then, the Atlanta liaisons have grown to a team of 8, planning frequent events from volunteering at animal shelters, cooking meals for the unhoused, hosting food, toy and clothing donation drives, and everything in between! So far, we’ve had over 10 events with 7 different organizations local to Atlanta and given back over 50 hours of community service. Continue reading below for a summary of what we’ve done in 2024 thus far!

February Family Dinner with Extra Special People

Perficient employees serving catered dinner to Extra Special People organization

In February 2024, Perficient’s Atlanta Giving ERG hosted a dinner for ESP (Extra Special People), an organization we’ve worked with in the past that serves people with disabilities and their families. We catered Publix sandwiches, chicken tenders, fruit and veggie platters, and even baked some homemade cookies to share with ESP. The Perficient team came early to help set up the serving station and distributed the Valentine’s Day craft making supplies amongst the tables.

“Extra Special People is truly a special organization. For the second time in less than a year, Perficient volunteers contributed to bringing families together to enjoy a catered dinner, play games, and catch up on the latest in their lives. I was reminded of what this community is all about, supporting family members with disabilities to an evening of fellowship and fun. “- Lisa McMichael

After serving dinner to everyone, we dispersed to help craft valentines for friends and family. Here’s what AJ
Steinhauser had to say about the night: “Volunteering at the ESP dinner was a heartwarming experience. Being able to support families with children facing disabilities was incredibly fulfilling. Here’s to hoping Perficient continues to find ample opportunities to make a meaningful difference in our community.”

Perficient colleagues and members of Extra Special People gathered around a table to eat dinner and craft valentines

The leadership from ESP was thrilled to see us back, and incredibly grateful that we offered to serve everyone dinner and spend time with their organization for the night.

“I just wanted to THANK you for coming out to our February Family Dinner. We had such a fun evening, and the families were very vocal about how much they loved interacting with all the volunteers there. We appreciate YOU!” – Taylor Shannon (Atlanta Program Coordinator at ESP)

Shoutout to our ATL colleagues who volunteered: Ntasha Sharma, Bekah Williamson, Grayson Harden, Lisa McMichael, Eric Courtney, AJ Steinhauser, Mike Baker.

Restoring One’s Hope – Feed the Hungry

On March 9th 2024, Atlanta colleagues volunteered with Restoring One’s Hope Atlanta for their Feed the Hungry program to prep and package full meals and hygiene kits for the unhoused population in Atlanta.

We worked in several assembly lines: one to add shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand sanitizer, a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a clean pair of socks into a hygiene kit, another line to make sandwiches and bagels and put them into plastic bags with chips and granola bars, and the last line to put these two kits together in a bag with a large water bottle. We assembled over 50 care packages that were distributed to the unhoused around Atlanta the very next day.

Perficient employees organizing donated clothingSince we finished putting together the care packages so quickly, we were put to work on a different task to organize all the donated clothing by gender, size and type of clothing item to make it easier for those in need to come in and find what they are looking for. While we were putting together the care packages and organizing clothing, we even noticed a few unhoused people come in and grab shoes and clothes they needed. This was great to see the direct, positive impact of the work we were putting in!

“We do not need miracle to transform our society. We have all the energy we need inside ourselves already. Help your local community and you can make a difference. Super happy we were involved with Restoring One’s Hope volunteer event here in Atlanta!” – Victor Murra

Conserving the Forest with Trees Atlanta

In honor of Earth Day this year, Perficient Atlanta colleagues gave back to the environment by volunteering with Trees ATL, and organization that protects and improves Atlanta’s urban forest by planting, conserving, and educating.

Perficient colleagues working to clear invasive speciesOn April 27th 2024, the team from Perficient went out to Memorial Park in Buckhead for our first engagement with Trees ATL. We started off by hand pulling and cutting smaller vines such as English ivy, Chinese privet, and Kudzu that were holding back native species from growing. We then worked our way up to cutting down bigger trees that stole sunlight from smaller plants.

This was our first event with Trees ATL and it ended up being incredibly fun and rewarding! Work like this may seem difficult, but it is a lot easier when you’re surrounded by good company!

See what Bekah Williamson had to say about the day:

“Our volunteer event with Trees Atlanta was a great bonding experience for our team and a perfect way to give back to our planet for Earth Day. We learned a lot about invasive plants in the Atlanta forests and the negative impact they can have on the native species. It was a lot of hard work, but we were able to clear a ton of invasive weeds & trees, improving ATL’s Memorial Park for all to enjoy!”

Shoutout to our ATL colleagues who volunteered: Harrison Blair, Eric Courtney, Bekah Williamson.

From spreading joy at ESP’s Family Dinner, to providing essential support through Restoring One’s Hope Feed the Hungry program, each initiative has left a lasting impact on us as well as the community. Perficient’s Giving ERG exemplifies why Perficient is not just a workplace, but a community where employees thrive. By fostering a culture of service and compassion, this group embodies Perficient’s core values and creates a sense of purpose and fulfillment beyond day-to-day responsibilities As we look to the future, we aspire to maintain the relations we’ve made so far, and continue to forge new, meaningful connections with local organizations as we deepen our collective impact on our local community.

“One of my favorite things about working at Perficient after 3 years is the Giving ERG events. These events are always fun and extremely rewarding to participate in. While I can’t always attend every local ERG event, I am incredibly grateful to work for a company that puts so much effort into helping others.” – Kimberlie Rose

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which supports a global campaign to raise awareness and support for the women and men who are affected by this disease. Whether you are a survivor, newly diagnosed, or know a loved one with breast cancer, having a supportive community that encourages conversation and hope is valuable.

We’re proud to partner with the American Cancer Society, a nationally recognized leader in breast cancer research and its Making Strides movement. The organization is helping to ensure greater access to care while providing support to reduce the risk of breast cancer. Through our Perficient Gives Charitable Match program, all colleagues located in the United States can make a donation, matched by Perficient, to the American Cancer Society or a charity of their choosing.

Perficient and our colleagues recognized Breast Cancer Awareness Month through a variety of programming efforts and awareness campaigns. These efforts include sharing informational resources, organizing knowledge-sharing events, and wearing the color pink. Continue reading to learn more about how our colleagues and partners are making a difference. First, let’s learn more about breast cancer and Perficient’s partnership with the American Cancer Society.

The American Cancer Society’s Mission

For three decades, the American Cancer Society has grown its Making Strides Against Breast Cancer movement to spread awareness and hope for a world free from breast cancer. Volunteers participate in three-five-mile walks to support breast cancer survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer, as well as caregivers and family members.

By uniting our communities, we can provide hope by funding groundbreaking breast cancer research, providing access to treatment information, and sharing inspirational stories. Together, we’re making a difference in the fight against breast cancer and providing access to equitable healthcare for women.

What is Breast Cancer?

Breast cancer is a disease where cells in breast tissues begin to change, often resulting in a lump or mass. Most breast lumps are classified as benign and are malignant, or non-cancerous. However, one in eight women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer during their lifetime. This makes it imperative to maintain regular checkups with a trusted medical professional. If breast cancer is detected at a beginning stage, the risk of a challenging journey with cancer reduces significantly.

According to the American Cancer Society more than:

  • 290,000 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year,
  • 4 million breast cancer survivors are living in the United States alone, and
  • 150,000 breast cancer patients are living with metastatic disease.

It’s important to prioritize an early screening to detect breast cancer. Completing regular screening, such as a mammogram, ultrasound, MRI, or biopsy, can catch the disease in its most treatable stage. We encourage all people to make a medical appointment if they are experiencing symptoms or signs of breast cancer.

There are a wide range of treatment options available, and staying educated is important. Medical facilities can provide greater access to patient treatment and care with advanced technology, which is why donations can have a significant impact on the quality of life.

Perficient Inspires Colleagues to Join the Fight to End Breast Cancer

No matter how large or small, every action has the potential to drive change. In collaboration with Perficient’s Giving ERG, our global offices shared their support by wearing pink during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Colleagues in our Lafayette office enjoyed sporting pink and supporting the cause, while taking a break from their daily routine.

Perficient’s offices in Latin America placed informational signs throughout the shared workspace. The team also planned virtual a knowledge-sharing session to communicate about the resources available.

Latin America colleagues created signs to make a difference.

During the virtual session, a trained specialist shared tools for detecting breast cancer at an early stage. Colleagues discovered the importance of self-examination as well as identifying risk factors, warning signs, and symptoms.

“I enjoyed the talk about breast cancer,” said Alejandra Gómez Moscoso, senior business analyst. “The speaker was approachable and didactic. She clarified doubts, and it helped me to become more aware of self-examination. Having at this moment a friend who is in this process of fighting breast cancer was also a reminder to attend the talk with more openness.”

Our Partnerships Can Make a Difference

From volunteering, fundraising, and participating in motivational events, there are many ways to get involved with the American Cancer Society’s mission to end breast cancer. Through Perficient’s partnership with former LGPA player and current golf analyst Morgan Pressel, we are driving impact and change for women across the globe.

As founder of the Morgan Pressel Foundation, she uses her influence in the industry to make a significant impact in the fight against breast cancer while serving as an inspiration to women from all walks of life.

Watch the Video to Learn More About Our Partnership with Morgan Pressel:

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, women empowerment, and Perficient’s promise to prioritize growth for everyone, Perficient recently curated a panel of women leaders to discuss advice for career advancement and women empowerment. Moderated by Morgan, influential women shared knowledge on key factors expediting industry growth, the importance of networking, and advice for leading by example.

Perficient and Adobe recently hosted a private golf clinic where participants could share inspiring stories and network with other like-minded professionals. The event featured a brunch, fireside chat, and golf clinic with Morgan.

Empowering women to believe that they can achieve their dreams is important, and through our Women in Technology Employee Resource Group (ERG) we can provide a platform for women and allies to share their experience with others. Members of the group are encouraged to build connections, collaborate, and network with leaders and peers within Perficient.

By facilitating educational opportunities and group knowledge-sharing events, colleagues are encouraged to continue learning outside of their daily responsibilities. Whether it is providing helpful resources, or shedding light on important topics, we’re proud to provide access to materials that can accelerate growth for women in the STEM field.

Perficient challenges, champions, and celebrates the unique ways that we can accelerate growth in the community. Every action has the potential to drive change, and we all have the power to make a difference. While October has come to a close, we encourage everyone to share their support throughout the year.

Giving back to your community is important! Here is why:

Donating your time to support those around you is extremely beneficial, both for you and your community. Working alongside fellow colleagues who also care about improving their surroundings will allow you to broaden your network. Additionally, it will help you to better understand the circumstances of other members of the community you are serving.

How We Drive Philanthropy in Dallas:

Alongside Perficient’s Giving ERG, the Dallas Local Business Unit has created their own Charitable Giving Committee. This committee is comprised of colleagues who are passionate about giving back to the community and have taken it upon themselves to drive philanthropy in the region. Dallas/Fort Worth is home to over 200 Perficient colleagues this includes the local business unit as well as national business units.

The Charitable Giving Committee has invited ALL Dallas based colleagues to participate in Hunger Action Month this September! This has been done in two different ways: through food donations and a volunteer event. There is a box set up in the kitchen of the Dallas LBU to collect non-perishable food items.

Volunteer Opportunities, Come Join Us:

Furthermore, the Dallas LBU volunteered with TangoCharities/Feed the City on Sept. 16th from 8AM-10AM. Feed the City is a monthly volunteer opportunity where individuals come together at a local venue to make lunches for people in need. The lunches consist of sandwiches, chips, and fruit, and are open to all who wish to participate, including children. “There have been nearly 1,000 Feed the City events who have welcomed over 75,000 volunteers in 5 countries, 11 states, and 53 cities that have provided over 3 MILLION meals to people in need. The events are led and hosted by volunteers who are dedicated to the fight against hunger.”- TangoCharities

Growing Our Giving Back Initiatives:

Overall, the volunteers had the opportunity to make 3628 meals with Feed the City at the Star in Frisco! According to Feeding America, the largest charity working to end hunger in America, the current food insecurity rate is 12.9 percent in North Texas, with Dallas County being the 6th highest in the number of food-insecure persons in the nation.

The impact we make will continue to develop, “alone we can do so little, together we can do so much!” – Helen Keller. We look forward to growing our giving back initiatives in 2024. Be sure to check back as we partner with Hope’s Door- New Beginning Center for the holidays!

Volunteer Experience Turned Into a Night with Perficient and the “Extra Special People” Organization https://blogs.perficient.com/2023/08/30/volunteer-experience-turned-into-a-night-with-perficient-and-the-extra-special-people-organization/ https://blogs.perficient.com/2023/08/30/volunteer-experience-turned-into-a-night-with-perficient-and-the-extra-special-people-organization/#respond Wed, 30 Aug 2023 22:28:29 +0000 https://blogs.perficient.com/?p=343510

Group Photo Copy ImageWhen the Atlanta Giving ERG team was brainstorming volunteer ideas, Eric Courtney, associate business coordinator in our Sitecore consulting group, mentioned an organization that everyone immediately agreed they wanted to sponsor – a dinner with members and staff of Extra Special People (ESP).

According to ESP, the organization “exists to create transformative experiences for people with disabilities and their families, changing communities for the better!”

Going back to his college days at the University of Georgia, Eric was motivated to volunteer with ESP through a college friend. Eric has stayed in touch with his college friend, who is now an employee of ESP.

Eric Courtney“I recommended ESP as an organization to partner with because I’ve seen, first-hand, how small actions can create unforgettable experiences for someone with a disability, who may not have otherwise had the opportunity,” said Eric. “You develop a connection with the participants, families, and ESP staff – something I think is unique to this organization. As ESP expands its footprint in Georgia, and Perficient’s Giving ERG continues growing its volunteer efforts, I saw this as the perfect opportunity to engage our colleagues and help create transformative experiences for individuals in our community.”

It Was Special From the Beginning

Founded by Laura Hope Whitaker in 1986 in Athens, Georgia, ESP has a long history of serving people with different abilities. ESP’s mission from the beginning has been to provide social engagement for children and young adults who would have otherwise not had these opportunities. Like Eric’s experience with ESP, the founder started as a volunteer while attending the University of Georgia in Athens. Since 1986, the organization has flourished, expanding its reach to more locations throughout Georgia such as Atlanta and Rome, and soon, in Gainesville.

Extra Special Dinner

The Perficient Atlanta ERG team that night, Bekah Williamson, Grayson Harden, Eric Courtney, and Lisa McMichael, brought in sandwiches, fried chicken – which was a big hit – snacks, and drinks. The team mixed and mingled with about 30 family members while dining with them for several hours that evening. That night was Extra Special for the team as they realized how big of an impact they were making with a simple gesture of sitting down and having a conversation with families.

The Perficient team learned about their everyday lives. They heard stories of how long families had been involved with ESP, how they got started with the program, and how lives were transformed. Lisa was especially impressed with one family’s experience with ESP. A mother working as a registered nurse in healthcare highlighted the tenacity she used to secure employment for her two adult sons in the hospital where she works. Lisa explained that “it brought to life a real story, and highlighted the importance of having meaningful work accessible to young adults with disabilities.”

ESP’s leadership was thrilled with Perficient’s generosity and level of engagement with participating families. During the dinner, the team had several discussions with ESP leaders about ways Perficient could help their organization in the future and help develop its presence in the Atlanta area. One idea is hosting “JavaJoy” later in the year, a ‘mobile’ coffee stand. The Perficient team is also considering a carnival event. Stay tuned for more updates!

“Thank you again for sponsoring the night and providing food for our families; the night would’ve not been possible without Perficient.” –Extra Special People
