Austin Texas recently had its first SharePoint Saturday on January 21, 2012 with well over 380 attendees registered.  With over 30 sessions, attendees had an opportunity to meet and greet speakers from all over the country.  Perficient was well represented with Nedra Allmond, Marcy Kellar, and me!  I was fortunate to host the Women in SharePoint Panel and the Installing SharePoint using Powershell sessions.
For those who missed the Women in SharePoint Panel we had 5 fantastic ladies on the panel and a crowd of over 60!   As the host, it was a great opportunity to meet and greet the panel and field questions from the audience (who were threatened with Chuck Norris SharePoint jokes if they didn’t participate).   Questions for the panel ranged from women in technology specific items to how to best handle finding a job in the SharePoint space.
As for the venue, it was fantastic and the food was buffet style and fabulous.  I look forward to attend and hopefully speaking next year!  Now it is off to SharePoint Saturday in Philly #SPSPhilly – I hope to see you there!
