Life at Perficient

Perficient Colleagues Donate 11,000+ Pounds of Food and 46,000+ Meals During Hunger Action Month

Perficient has a long-standing reputation as a philanthropic organization with colleagues who are driven and passionate about making a collective difference. In the spirit of giving back, our Giving Employee Resource Group (ERG) partnered with Feeding America for the third year in a row in support of Hunger Action Month (HAM), a global campaign that seeks to spread awareness and fight food insecurity.

Taking place in September, Perficient colleagues are encouraged to join the fight against food insecurity by hosting volunteer events, spreading awareness, and bringing non-perishable food items to their local office. These items are then donated to area food banks to support those without access to healthy food.

Celebrating Perficient’s 2024 HAM Champions: Dallas and Nagpur Offices

As part of HAM, colleagues across Perficient’s global offices participated in a friendly competition with a challenge to make a difference. All locations that donated at least 100 pounds of food, hosted a volunteer event, and submitted an impact story during September qualified as finalists.

Through our collective efforts, Perficient and our colleagues donated more than 11,000 pounds of food and 46,000 meals to fight food insecurity worldwide. We’re proud to share that our Dallas and Nagpur offices are our 2024 HAM competition winners and will be added to our newly minted trophy!

Colleagues in Dallas partnered with the North Texas Food Bank to launch the office’s first-ever Peanut Butter Drive and collectively collected 909 jars of peanut butter – which equates to 909 pounds of food! Colleagues brought in jars of peanut butter into their local office, while also organizing a virtual campaign by creating a donation page and sharing information through email and social media. Additionally, colleagues volunteered with Feed My Starving Children to pack bags with essential vitamins, vegetables, soy, and rice to send to Honduras.

Our Nagpur office is a two-time HAM champion, with colleagues in both our Nagpur and Pune offices distributing 150 grocery boxes, which is nearly 4,630 pounds, across impoverished areas through a collaborative effort with Robin Hood Academy. Colleagues spent time packing and carrying boxes full of items such as wheat and rice to help those in need. This effort positively impacted the lives of more than 150 families in India, while bringing a sense of pride and reaffirmed commitment to our colleagues.

While each office showed true determination, both offices exceeded expectations through their creativity and teamwork to make a difference. These offices join previous HAM Champions Atlanta, Nagpur, Minneapolis, and Lafayette, Louisiana, as the top contributors to our HAM campaign.

Our Global Colleagues Give Back

The competition for the 2024 HAM Challenge was stiff, with several of Perficient’s global offices vying for the title of HAM Champions. While our Dallas and Nagpur offices reigned supreme, every office’s effort to support HAM is fighting global food insecurity. Check out the many ways our global colleagues fought food insecurity by volunteering and giving back to those in need.
