For two consecutive years now, our office located in sunny Irvine, California has been recognized as a Top Workplace in The Orange County Register! This comes as no surprise as we’ve also been awarded a Best Place to Work earlier in the year by the Orange County Business Journal.
Perficient is 1 of 169 companies in Orange County to be recognized on our commitment to our employees. “People” is one of our core values. It goes without saying that we continuously strive to cultivate a culture that challenges and champions great people. That said, it’s truly an honor to be recognized alongside the other 168 organizations that are also committed to creating a unique culture for their employees.
How Did We Win?
Top Workplaces and Energage (a third-party survey) work hand-in-hand to gather feedback from participating company employees to determine winners. Anonymous surveys were sent to our Southern California employees to gather feedback around our organization. Questions consisted of a variety of culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization (pay, benefits, productivity, communication, etc.). Because of the outstanding feedback from our colleagues, we were able to reclaim this outstanding award once again.
A Look Into An Award-Winning Team
With now more than 100 employees, our team in Southern California continues to grow. To get to know the team, I wanted to go straight to the source, so I asked our General Manager of our Southern California operations, Henry Heisler, what his favorite part of the team was. His response:
“Perficient has grown dramatically the last several years, with over 7,000 employees around the world. Throughout all the expansions, we’ve continued to weave together one Southern California team, embracing our diverse backgrounds – whether those are technical or industry specializations, career experiences, cultural and ethnic background, languages or as simple as where we live. We’re one unified team that challenges, supports and learns from one another every day.”
Over the years, this team has been known to have a strong presence in their community. Volunteering at various organizations like Second Harvest Food Drive, Orange County Rescue Mission, and Children’s Hospital Orange County just to name a few. Their latest initiative, participating in OneOC’s Community Cup! That said, this tight-knit group has a passion for their community and making an impact.
As we look to the future, there’s no sign of backing down from this team. When asked about what he looks forward to with the team in 2023, Henry said: “One of the best things about working at Perficient is having a front row seat as technology continues to evolve and shape our world. The work we do impacts our clients, their employees and customers, and our own personal lives every day. It’s a great gig and every day brings new ideas, challenges and opportunities to learn!”
