Joe McNett, Senior Technical Architect
What is your role? Describe a typical day in the life.
I am a Senior Technical Architect and manager. My typical day consists of daily standups, laying out technical solutions to meet the clients’ current needs, and in the future, supporting our development team with any challenges, and helping my direct reports grow their careers here at Perficient.
Are you a member of any Perficient Employee Resource Groups or communities?
I’m a member of the Agile Community group at Perficient. This group support’s our commitment to providing agile thought leadership to our clients by offering an opportunity for developers to learn and connect, share tools and techniques, build relationships, and support each other on their agile journeys.
What has your experience at Perficient taught you? What is something you’ve learned that you want to share/what advice would you give to others?
You don’t need to know how to do everything – that’s why you have a team behind you. Delegate, don’t take on more than you can handle. Other team members cannot grow if you don’t give them the chance.
Why did you choose Perficient? What keeps you here? 
I came to Perficient as part of the Sundog Interactive acquisition in 2019, but I have stayed because of the people and the challenging work we get to do.
How have you personally helped advance Perficient’s business during your career here?
Helping team members grow their skills and advancing their careers to deliver quality work to our clients.
What are you passionate about outside of work?
Teaching my twin boys how to do do things I was never taught growing up.
