The ever-changing nature of the pandemic reinforces the importance of digital experiences across every industry. According to a recent article from McKinsey & Company regarding Covid-19’s effect on consumer thinking about healthcare, “consumers increasingly prefer digital channels across all healthcare-related activities.” This created a unique opportunity for healthcare companies to enhance and broaden their platform.
AMN Healthcare, with guidance from Perficient, took full advantage of the opportunity and experienced immense success. Perficient was honored by Optimizely during its Optimizer Awards ’21, which celebrates Customer Creativity and Digital Innovation. The annual ceremony recognizes outstanding customer achievements from the previous year.
Our work with AMN Healthcare earned the award for Most Customer-Centric Digital Experience in North America. The award was accepted by Liz Cunningham, Head of Digital Solutions, on behalf of AMN Healthcare.
Building an Outstanding Customer-Centric Experience for End-Users
AMN Healthcare noticed a disconnect between its website and clients who were unaware of service offerings due to the multi-brand strategy. As a solution, they began their website redesign with the guidance of Perficient and an overall goal to modernize their CMS and transition onto the Optimizely platform from their legacy Ektron platform. The transition would create a single digital home for all AMN service lines to better meet the needs of end-users, specifically with mobile-first inspiring the design approach. Whether it be a client, investor, or team member, this enhancement efficiently leads site users to quickly access relevant content through personalization and tailored content.
“With our implementation partner Perficient, we embarked on a four-month journey starting with our customer in mind,” Cunningham said. “Prior to any build, we created prototypes and conducted interviews and surveys with clients to ensure our new site was meeting their needs. The Optimizely platform enabled us to create a library of reusable components to drive consistency across the site and enable the internal digital marketing teams to quickly create new pages and content moving forward.”
Following the launch of the new website, AMN has experienced a significant decline in bounce rates, as well as an overall boost in health to the site with an overwhelming increase in time spent on site. Tailoring the site with a mobile-first approach improved interaction for end-users on the go and led to greater engagement rates.
