Kurt Highducheck joined us in 2019 and quickly made his mark by impacting client and team success. I sat down with him to explore what keeps him energized in his role at Perficient.
It’s great to chat with you, Kurt. Thank you for joining me. Can you tell me a bit about your role as a Key Account Director in our healthcare practice and what a typical day or project looks like?
I’m currently a Key Account Director for one of Perficient’s many Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) clients. Prior to working at Perficient, I led technology organizations for a large Medicaid payor as well as a Fortune 500 company. I enjoy my role at Perficient because I can flex skills and learnings gained from my previous experiences, and my skills directly impact our team and client work. I bring a unique perspective because I, too, was once a customer of Perficient.
My typical day consists of many phone calls – some are very operational while others are more strategic in nature. I work with our client and Perficient teams to ensure we successfully fulfill our commitments. I also collaborate with our partners and account teams to identify opportunities where we can create a more efficient and effective technological environment at the account.
What do you most enjoy about your role and about working at Perficient?

At my core I would say I have family values.
I pride myself in understanding what needs to be done and aligning that with how it impacts my family. I extend these values to my team and try my best to evaluate every situation while practicing empathy and social IQ as a large part of my decision process. I also feel very strongly about accountability and partnership. I feel Perficient supports all of these values, and they are a key part to my and the organization’s success.

What drew you to a career at Perficient? And what makes you stay and want to do your best work?
The easy answer (for me) to this question is diversity.
I enjoy the opportunities to work across so many cultures, geographies, and projects, and with the great people I have encountered at Perficient.

I very much appreciate all the perspectives that any given engagement at Perficient has to offer. There are so many talented people in the organization, all looking for ways to best help our customers. I also can’t say enough about the people I work with day in and day out. Ultimately, the people I have the pleasure of working with are a large part of what keeps me engaged!
Compared to some of my other colleagues who’ve been with Perficient for quite some time, I am relatively new here, but I’m growing in nicely. I have friends here – both old and new – and find it a great place to be.
I’m happy to help our and our customer’s team move forward and feel great accomplishment in doing so.
I’ve referred and brought some great folks onboard from a past role and look forward to continuing our teams’ growth. There are many challenges ahead, and I get to pursue them with a great team alongside me. That’s what has and will keep me energized!
