Talking Teams Integration at the Microsoft 365 Virtual Marathon

I am excited to announce that on Thursday May 28th at 10AM PST, I will be speaking at the Microsoft 365 Virtual Marathon alongside countless other Microsoft employees and MVPs.

It’s a great honor to be able to present at this conference, which has had to pivot because of COVID-19. Traditionally, this conference would be held in-person and would be a coming together for the SharePoint community. Thankfully, the virus hasn’t been able to stop the conference, and this year it’s actually getting even bigger. The conference is being broadcast for 36 consecutive hours in seven different languages, with sessions from my Perficient colleagues Joel Oleson and Venice Thacker too.

Teams real-life integration – automation and governance

Teams is obviously a hot topic in today’s world – with the combination of work from home and the impending sunset of Skype for Business, Teams consumption is increasing quickly. For businesses that have either just dipped their toes into Teams previously or hadn’t used it at all, this requires them learning how to deploy the platform quickly and there are a few tricks for the integration of Teams with Microsoft’s other tools.

In my 50-minute session, I will outline how to use the Graph API actions in a custom connector in conjunction with Teams Templates, SharePoint Online, and Power Automate to create a repeatable self-service process for the creation of Microsoft Teams.

Manually deploying Microsoft Teams is overwhelming. How do we handle approval and management? Templates? Flow creation?
