Learn and Connect at Sitecore Symposium 2018

How are we nearing the end of September? Even if some of us want to deny it more than others (especially our friends up north who experience winter weather sooner than later), it’s almost October. In the Sitecore world, that means one thing. Sitecore Symposium is just about here. This year’s event is taking place October 8-11th in Orlando, or better yet, ‘The Happiest Place on Earth.’
Every year, Sitecore ups the anty and based on the 2018 agenda, keynote speakers, and activities around Women in Digital and Technology, it’s certain this year is on track to do the same.
We are excited to be there in force, as a Sitecore Platinum Solution Partner and gold sponsor with 10 Sitecore MVPs, our own amazing Women in Digital and Technology, chief strategist, and a whole crew of Sitecore, digital marketing, and healthcare specialists.
Get in touch with us beforehand to schedule time for coffee or a quick sync, in our booth (#305), or in one of our sessions:

Working with JSS Gold Master and Marketing Automation

Tuesday, October 9th from 4:15 – 5:00 PM ET

Two of our Sitecore MVPs Corey Smith and Rick Bauer provide a wide-angle view of JSS and Sitecore Marketing Automation. Focusing on developers, their session provides a high-level understanding of what the end product of Sitecore Marketing Automation should look like from a marketer’s perspective based on real-world use cases. Then, Corey and Rick pop open the hood and show how it was achieved using JSS, including tips, tricks, and lessons learned.

Driving an immersive customer experience with Sitecore Experience Commerce + IoT

Wednesday, October 10th from 3:00 – 3:45 PM ET

How can you leverage Sitecore to drive a better customer experience? In this session, Richard Seal will co-present and demonstrate how you can combine IoT, xConnect, xDB, Marketing Automation, EXM, and SXA, all tied together with Sitecore Experience Commerce, to deliver a more personalized, meaningful experience for customers at a fictional theme park called SitecoreLand! Using IoT devices to track park entry and exit as well as engagement with rides and concessions, they provide incentives and special offers to park guests to optimize line wait times and concession traffic. With marketing automation and EXM, they upsell ‘Fast Passes’ to skip long lines or cross-sell ride or park merchandise.

Elevate your career experience: Empowering women in technology

Wednesday, October 10th from 3:00 – 3:45 PM ET

It’s no secret: Diversity in business is smart business. Still, according to the National Center for Women & Information Technology, women only make up 26% of the workforce in computing professions. Join a panel of 18 female Sitecore MVPs, including our very own Wendy Derstine, as they discuss why ensuring gender equality is good for business; how your company may inadvertently be contributing to a gender gap; and how we can all take steps to close this gap in the tech industry.
Read more about Perficient Digital and Sitecore, or check out the Symposium agenda to plan and make the most of your time in Orlando. If you haven’t bought your ticket – there’s still time to register. See you there!
