This is the key training element in a multi-part series to get you to that golden summit of behavior-based personalization in Sitecore 8.x and 9.0. With this training you should ultimately see a conservative increase of conversions around +19%. While this topic is the “shiny nickel” of the series, please make sure you have followed the process laid out in prior episodes. Just starting here will not yield success; rather, frustration. So head back to my YouTube channel and make sure you have covered off on the videos leading up to this one.
A quick overview of what we will cover in: Episode 6 – Behavior Based Personalization
We take you through 10 best practices, considerations, and suggestions that can enrich your Microsoft Teams deployment and ensure both end-user adoption and engagement.
This episode is the full run stage, and a followup to the rules-based (Ep. 5) personalization video. (Rules-based personalization is necessary foundation for THIS video and will be utilized in the creation of behavioral personalization.) Watch this (Episode 6) video to learn about setting up and applying the complexities of:
- Profile Keys
- Profile Cards
- Pattern Cards
You will get to know the functions and how they should be set as best practices, the details of each, and how they interact.
Ultimately, you should take away the skills to add Profile Cards to key pages that will act as the driving indicators of customer behavior on your site. Plus, you will then know how to add the related Pattern Cards to components that are listening for behavior indicators driven by the Profile Cards.
Every time I say or read this back, I can feel the confusion, much like I had myself when starting this journey. Hopefully my process, the visualization, and explanation around this topic will help you see clearly.
