Security in the Cloud with Office 365

Making the move to the cloud can be intimidating. There are many things to consider: What are the best practices? Who are the most knowledgeable vendors? Which is the best solution? But one consideration that should be at the forefront of all cloud migration decisions is security.
Many organizations can be hesitant to make the move to the cloud due to security concerns. We’ve identified three common security scenarios that may occur as organizations transition to the cloud:

  1. Not fully understanding current security settings and whether there are risks in the way those settings are implemented;
  2. A lack of cloud security knowledge and/or not having the capacity in IT departments for security; and
  3. Not owning or using security solutions that provide adequate protection against current security threats.
