Oracle’s Cloud @ Customer

Oracle announced a new subscription based machine called Oracle Cloud @ Customer.

In this model, the same Public Cloud PaaS offering that Oracle currently offers in their Cloud Infrastructure, is now available at the Customer’s location. With this model, the customer can leverage their own data center and keep the cloud behind their firewall. Just like the Oracle’s Public Cloud, the Cloud @ Customer machine is entirely managed by Oracle.

The main advantage with this model is for the companies who are really concerned about their data, so they can leverage all the cloud benefits by moving to this model. Again, the data on the Public cloud is all secured right from the silicon layer to the application layer. So, you should not be worried about the data, which is managed by Oracle, and the entire Cloud infrastructure is very secured.
