R11 Fact 10 – Subledger Accounting

Turning subledger transactions into subledger journal entries is easy in the Subledger Accounting section of Oracle Cloud R11.  Users can generate accounting for legal and corporate reporting, and reconcile accounting using predefined functionalities.

Users can define custom formulas and use subledger accounting rule definitions from the Manage Formulas Payables page found under Setup and Maintenance.

In the formula expression, users can insert various date functions as seen below:

Users can also use conditional functions:

By using substring or concatenation of input source values, constants and derived values, users can build detailed expressions:

Numeric functions and seeded accounting calendar functions can also be used by users:

In the Accounting Attributes Assignments area, users can assign custom formulas as a source:

These custom formulas (account rules, journal line rules, description rules, mapping sets and supporting references) can then be used:

Subledger journal entry header and line descriptions have been improved upon in the subledger applications of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management and Tax.

Rather than running Create Accounting from the Scheduled Processes page, users can review details of errors in the Accounting Lines screen accessed by clicking on View Accounting.  These detailed warning and error messages can be seen when accounting fails for a subledger transaction.
