Fact #8: Receivables – Billing

The Receivables work area provides three infotiles for Billing, Accounts Receivable and Revenue.  Included in these is a number of services for customer billing and payment activities, revenue recognition and adjustments, AR balances and reconciliation to the general ledger.  Real-time transactions and customer account information are available in the Billing and Accounts Receivable infotiles.  Like most of the other infotiles found in R11, when the infotile is clicked on, the user can see summary data, and has the option of drilling down to display detailed information, including focused to-do lists of transactions and receipts.

Receivables Billing

Once the user clicks on the Billing area, they see four infotiles including Incomplete, Approval, Requests and Import Exceptions.  The user can either drill down to more detailed activities, or take immediate action on pending items from that point.

Rec Infotiles

The Incomplete Infotile summarizes information on all incomplete transactions needing attention.  This summary is separated into two categories of transaction dates: 0-10 days old and 10+ days old.  The user is able to complete transactions, delete transactions or just drill down to see transaction details.

Rec - Incomplete

Users can quickly see adjustments pending approval when looking at the Approval Infotile.  This infotile provides a view of pending approval adjustments within both the current accounting period as well as in previous accounting periods.  By drilling down to more details, it is easy for the user to reject adjustments, approve adjustments or request more information.

Rec - Approval

The final infotile in the Billing area allows users to review the number of AutoInvoice exception rows, in the Import Exceptions Infotile.  The rows are shown by transaction source, creation date and currency.  Oracle ADF Desktop Integration allows the user to click on the hyperlink to launch the AutoInvoice Error Correction spreadsheet in MS Excel.  On the spreadsheet, users can see all of the exceptions from the Import AutoInvoice process and make any desired corrections.  After these corrections are made, the adjusted rows may be uploaded and resubmitted for AutoInvoice processing.
