Office Visit: Something’s Always Brewing in Milwaukee

Milwaukee skyline
Nestled in Milwaukee’s historic Third Ward is a quaint, brick office building that houses about 90 Perficient colleagues. Conference rooms are named after different kinds of beers and cheese – Leinenkugel and Curd among them – a tip of the hat to Wisconsin industry and culture.
Serious work happens here, unless the Green Bay Packers are playing.
As they drive to and from the office, colleagues pass the Harley-Davidson Museum, glimpse Miller Park – home of the Milwaukee Brewers – or marvel at the blue expanse of Lake Michigan.
Our prime location in Milwaukee’s Third Ward allows our team to enjoy a great variety of restaurants, coffee shops or playing a game of bocce ball at the park just south of our office,” said Ross Monaghan, a director of Perficient Digital, Perficient’s full-service digital agency.
The Milwaukee office houses several of Perficient’s business units – among them, digital commerce, digital marketing, user experience and creative, sales, and account management.
“Most of us work here because of the people around us,” said Rupesh Agrawal, general manager of digital platform solutions. “The Milwaukee office has very talented colleagues who take a lot of pride in what they do.”
The client list in Milwaukee is broad, too, ranging from nationally recognized companies to smaller local businesses. Many of these clients pay frequent visits to the office, which fosters strong relationships.
Milwaukee 2Besides having a lot of work, the Milwaukee office has a lot of fun. The environment is diverse – colleagues attached to Perficient’s Nagpur office are here, too – and attention is paid to American and Indian holidays. Diwali, the festival of lights, is celebrated with a feast of delicious food and decorating the office with lights, which remain up for the December holidays. Other activities have included a Halloween pumpkin-carving contest and a St. Patrick’s Day-themed happy hour.
Milwaukee colleagues also engage in social activities and competitions.
“The Milwaukee office has always had a work-hard, play-hard environment,” Monaghan said. “Our team constantly delivers exceptional work on behalf of our customers while still getting in a dart championship or an arm wrestling competition for local office pride.”
With employees spread out over two floors, these in-office gatherings help different departments interact and get to know one another.
Outside of the office, Milwaukee colleagues give back to their community. In one effort, volunteers donated more than 700 pounds of food to a local hunger task force. They also recently supported Uber’s efforts to deliver puppies to the local office for a visit and play date. Allie Kelly, paid search director, sits on one of the boards for the Wisconsin Humane Society and worked on putting a team together for a benefit walk and run in June.
Employees also stay active and share interests in various hobbies, including running, biking, weight lifting, swimming, Zumba, and yoga. Others play golf, rugby, hockey, soccer, kickball, and cricket. And in true Milwaukee spirit, the office has beer aficionados.
“Teamwork, passion, and a drive to deliver unbelievable digital solutions truly inspire everyone here in Milwaukee,” Monaghan said.
