Great job by speakers Lance, Ryland and Dave in the presentation and the important points that were delivered.

A couple quick takeaways:asset-management-sessions-Interconnect-600

1. Technology is helping gather and create actionable data to make better decisions when maintaining equipment. Work towards the most effective process based on all sorts of data, and avoid the down times.

2. Make it easy for the technician to answer questions and apply knowledge to the information gathered and do it quickly via a mobile device. Also, let the equipment adjust itself instead of the delay requiring manual intervention.

3. Early warning systems can help if integrated for quicker updates. It’s data in different formats and tools pulling from it. IBM Predictive Maintenance and Quality can help with rules to make sense of all this data. Send notifications based on managing by exception instead of always reacting.

4. Don’t forget: you’ll need to change and ask for help, too, as technology is changing.
