The 124 Perficient colleagues who call the Dallas market home find themselves in an especially exciting time and place.
The office resides at The Campus at Legacy in a fast-growing commercial corridor of northern Texas that’s become quite the magnet for major companies. PepsiCo, Frito Lay, MedAssets, USAA and Intuit are all within a stone’s throw, and more heavy hitters are on the way. In early 2014, Toyota Motor Co. signed a lease at the campus to move its North American headquarters there. FedEx Office’s new corporate headquarters is heading to West Plano, and the Dallas Cowboys are moving their headquarters to neighboring Frisco.
Team-building efforts are strong during and after hours. One of the largest gatherings in 2014 was the office’s holiday party in early December. At least 120 colleagues and guests celebrated with hors d’oeuvres, libations and live entertainment under a grand white tent that was set up right on the campus grounds. Seasonal potlucks and weekly Friday meet-ups bring the team together over food and drinks on a regular basis. Community support is another way that colleagues bond, with recent outreach centered on Toys for Tots and local food banks.
And, there’s certainly no shortage of things to do in the local community. Dallas-Fort Worth landed on Forbes’ 2014 list of Fastest Growing Cities in the U.S., and commerce is booming. The streets of Downtown Dallas are ripe with shops and restaurants, and parks and historic sites provide endless activities for all ages.
“It all creates a high standard of life for people, and that’s why more companies are moving here,” says Perficient Dallas office General Manager Tim Branham.
“We’re fortunate. We’re really at a prime time.”
