When & Where Should We Use the Cloud?

The third part of the cloud series answers a common question we get from clients, “How do we decide when and where to use cloud?”

Knowing that 70% of CIO’s would like to move out of the data center business, we are often asked to assess whether or not to move to the cloud; however, we tend to re-frame the question to address the consideration of when and how.  It becomes a matter of how you can do this most effectively, while securing your data. In this video, JP Morgenthal talks about the how companies can ensure success in the cloud and reap the benefits that are so highly publicized, such as:

  • Identifying new business opportunities
  • Enabling better communication with partners and customers
  • Improving business process
  • Increasing productivity
  • Reducing operational overhead – all while reducing the impact of the change you are making within your organization
