Making a Difference at an Industry-Leading Client

imageI’d spent the majority of my career working for larger companies as an employee, watching highly skilled contractors come and go. I would often wonder how they dealt with the constant change and lack of perceived security. I often found myself wondering if this career might be the one for me. After careful consideration I decided to leave a steady job at GameStop to pursue my passion, and this led me to Perficient. My first assignment was with tw telecom, one of the largest telecom service providers in the U.S. I joined Perficient to pursue my passion of using my technical skills to make a difference and at tw telecom I’m able to accomplish that goal.

The daily routine at tw telecom is a constant blend of top-notch software engineering efforts and strong agile project management. I make a difference daily by sharing with my colleagues and fellow tw telecom employees industry best practices in software engineering, quality engineering and overall enterprise architecture. I am offered the chance to participate in a Perficient team of delivery experts, business analysts, software testers and peer software engineers. The Perficient team works side by side with tw telecom employees to build quality software that solves real business problems. I am convinced that the successful relationship between Perficient and tw telecom can be attributed to the two teams operating as one instead of individual units.
