eXo Announces Cloud Based Development Tools

You may know eXo from their partnership with JBoss Enterprise Portal. They provided significant content management capabilities to enhance the portal.  They continue to head down what seems to be a unique route with their portal, content, collaboration, and SOA platform.   They are also diving into the cloud with a fury.

CMSWire has an article about eXo’s cloud development tools or Java based Platform as a Service (PaaS) tools.  CMSWire pokes some fun at them to begin with because they sure use a lot of buzzwords.  That said, even though it’s still in beta, they claim to do some pretty cool things:

  • Cloud based development
  • Introduction of social aspects like activity streams, wiki, and forums
  • Source control integration
  • Ability to code for a variety of cloud based platforms like Force, Amazon, and the Google App Engine

To request access to the beta, head to the eXo site.   Read the entire article at CMW Wire as well.
