Perficient Digital Wins Two W3 Awards

The winners of the 2016 W³ Awards have been announced by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, and Perficient Digital’s work for Carhartt and The Henry Ford is being recognized. Our design and development of Carhartt’s Fall 2016 Lookbook microsite received Gold in the Fashion Website category, while The Henry Ford website took home Silver in the Cultural Institutions Website category.
This is the third design award The Henry Ford website has received this year, previously being recognized by Media Post with an Online Marketing and Media Advertising award and by the American Alliance of Museums with a MUSE award. The Henry Ford website contains 54,000 pages of rich visual design that deliver a responsive customer experience across many digital channels and devices. The robust search tools simplify discovery of The Henry Ford’s 50,000 digital artifacts and several distinctly crafted video and narrative series provide visitors with an in-depth look at collection items, inventors, and inventions.

This is the second design award this year for the Carhartt lookbook, which has already been recognized by the Web Marketing Association with a WebAward. The Carhartt microsite was designed to provide fashion reporters the content they needed to experience the very best of Carhartt products and tell the story of innovation behind each one. The site is mobile responsive and acts as a “toolkit” that allows every asset to be saved and shared on demand. Unique product attributes are showcased through beautiful full-screen video, product and lifestyle galleries, macro detail photography, animated GIFs, insider quotes, and plenty of information to help easily tell a tailored story.

The W³ Awards honor creative excellence on the web and recognize the creative and marketing professionals behind award-winning websites, web video, and online marketing programs. Perficient Digital has won previous W³ Awards for such projects as the Hunter Douglas brand site, the Hunter Douglas iMagine Design Center, the John Frieda® Product Advisor, the Fruit2O brand site and WhatWasThere.com.
