Inside Rise 2.1: New Features in the Latest Release

This week, we released Rise 2.1, the latest version upgrade of our Intranet-as-a-Service platform. This build is full of new features that improve architecture, administration, and the front-end experience, including:

  • Translation – Rise 2.1 includes a machine language translation capability that supports more than 50 languages. Now all Rise web content can be translated to any of the supported languages.
  • Global Alerts – The latest build provides the ability to broadcast global alerts to all Rise-enabled site collections. Alerts are calendar-based and can be scheduled in advance.
  • Application Directory – There is now a global directory of commonly used applications. Applications can be featured and favorited, providing users with quick access to the applications they use on a regular basis.
  • Document Directory – Rise 2.1 includes a document directory powered by Office Graph. The document directory surfaces users’ recent and trending documents and allows advanced filtering capabilities to access documents quickly.
  • Location Pages – New page templates enable location-specific pages with mapping capabilities.
  • Editing Mode Enhancements – All Rise page templates and web parts have an improved editing experience with enhanced options and preview capabilities.

Rise delivers on the most common functionality needed for your SharePoint intranet, out of the box. This allows your intranet to be up and running quickly – helping to engage your end users immediately.
Rise puts your employees at the center of the intranet experience, giving all employees the intranet they deserve. With improved usability thanks to Rise’s consumer-style interface and enterprise-grade features, Rise allows you to surface the highest-value features of Office 365 and make them easy to use.
