#SWIT x 2 at #SharePoint Conference #spc11 #spcRockstars

As I talked with colleagues Nedra Allmond and Marcy Kellar about the SharePoint Women in Technology (SWIT) panel sessions at the SharePoint Conference, we discussed experiences that we’ve has as women in technology, and that while we may not define ourselves by our gender specifically, that we’ve all had experiences where it has become apparent that we have a different perspective in some way.  We talked about how we wanted to highlight stories, journeys and perspectives during the SharePoint Women in Technology panel sessions and it sparked a discussion about how we can generally support and mentor each other.
As women, we’d like to share the talents of other women in technology and start a conversation! I’m really excited to announce that Perficient will be hosting two SharePoint Women in Technology panel sessions at the SharePoint Conference in Anaheim, California from October 3rd to 6th.  We’ll be recording these sessions and live tweeting them using the hashtags #spc11 and #spcRockstars. The recording and other conference information will be posted here.
We have an exciting line-up of SharePoint Women in Technology panelists and expect that there will be several other well known community minded folks stopping by to show their support.
