Perficient Buys Clarity Consulting

This morning, Perficient announced that it acquired Clarity Consulting, a $27 million Microsoft Gold partner and the developer of Clarity Connect. The company offers premier products and services that leverage Skype for Business as a communication platform, which allow companies to significantly reduce costs and complexities within their IT environments.

Clarity has deep expertise in custom development, cloud implementations, and digital experience design on Microsoft platforms and devices. The company works with organizations in a variety of industries, including financial services.

When it comes to regulatory compliance in financial services, Clarity has built due diligence solutions that perform automated background checks on individuals and organizations that are involved in capital transactions, such as M&A and IPOs. These products facilitate workflows within client organizations, not to mention enable case management and collaboration, and deliver final diligence reports.

The anti-corruption solutions the company has developed help assess the compliance “health” of a client’s vendor network by performing automated bribery and corruption background checks. The applications integrate with third-party data services to algorithmically generate a vendor risk assessment.

As far as insurance goes, Clarity has worked with some of the largest agencies in the industry to optimize their Applied Epic and Vertafore AMS360 systems, in order to improve the capturing, storing, and tracking of data.

“We are excited to further strengthen Perficient with the strategic acquisition of Clarity,” said Jeffrey Davis, Perficient’s chairman and chief executive officer. “Microsoft’s cloud momentum is accelerating, and Clarity’s outstanding capabilities, impressive client roster, and strong reputation expand and enhance our formidable market presence and broaden and deepen our long-standing partnership with Microsoft.”

Clarity founders Jeff Smith and Jon Rauschenberger, and partner Jerry Brunning, all join Perficient in key leadership roles.

“Perficient is well known for its expertise across many technology platforms and is widely regarded as one of the largest and most capable Microsoft systems integrator partners in the country,” Smith said. “Joining the Perficient team accelerates our collective opportunities for continued growth and success.”

The acquisition brings over 160 consulting, technology, sales, and general and administrative professionals to Perficient.
