With some guidance, you can craft a data platform that is right for your organization’s needs and gets the most return from your data capital.

Get the Guide

This is a generic error, and it may occur due to any of the following reasons:

  • Timeout issues with Internet Explorer
  • EXCEL incompatibility with smart view versions.  This is becoming increasingly more common for organizations upgrading Office to 2013.
  • IIS manager service being stopped or ASP.NET is not functioning.
  • The IIS Application pool used for Smart View is stopped.
  • Reconfiguration of HFM Web Server.
  • Running out of RAM on the HFM server.

To correct the IE timeout issues, backup of the Windows registry on the client machine then perform the following:

  1. Go to the location[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]\
  2. Add the below registry keys and values.
    • “ReceiveTimeout”=dword:00dbba00
    • “KeepAliveTimeout”=dword:002BF20
    • “ServerInfoTimeout”=dword:002BF20
  3. Re-start the client machine.
